dc.description.abstract | Within the field of oncology, the communication of an unfavourable diagnosis is regarded as a stressful event that affects all members of the oncology team, as well as the patient. In this exploratory study we found that the communication problems between doctors, patients and nursing staff were related to insufficient information exchange. A psychosocial registration sheet was developed in order to improve communication on the ward. The effects of the new approach are briefly commented upon. | - |
