Abstract: We investigate a two-gene system with an autoregulatory feedback loop using geometric singular perturbation theory. We identify (coexisting) relaxation oscillations, singular Hopf bifurcations, homoclinic loops etc. We also demonstrate a new method to compute the criticality of the singular Hopf bifurcations.
