The amount of methylene-ether bridges was determined by C-13 NMR from the number of monomethylolated amino groups consumed in the condensation reactions and is in agreement with that calculated from the condensation water contents. This latter method, which involves a combination of H-1 and C-13 NMR, is based on the amount of condensation water released during the formation of both methylene and methylene-ether bridges. | Notes: | DSM RES BV,6160 MD GELEEN,NETHERLANDS.SCHEEPERS, ML, LIMBURGS UNIV CENTRUM,DEPT SBM,UNIV CAMPUS,B-3590 DIEPENBEEK,BELGIUM. | Keywords: | H-1 NMR SPECTROSCOPY; C-13 NMR SPECTROSCOPY; CONDENSATION WATER; CURING; MELAMINE; FORMALDEHYDE; RESINS | Document URI: | http://hdl.handle.net/1942/3633 | DOI: | 10.1002/pola.1995.080330604 | ISI #: | A1995QM78600004 | Type: | Journal Contribution |
