Duality aspects of the gini index for general information production processes

Abstract

This paper studies information production processes (IPP) (e.g., bibliographies) from the point of view of concentration theory. More specifically, the Gini index is studied for an IPP as well as for its dual IPP. We prove that both Gini indices are the same. We also remark that such a result is not true for other well-known concentration measures.
