dc.description.abstract | In haptic cloth rendering, a user can interact with a cloth simulation, while feeling forces that relate to the cloth topology. This can be realized by combining two existing techniques: cloth simulation and collision detection. However, several design choices must be made in order to have a realistic simulation while maintaining real-time rendering times. This paper discusses the techniques needed for haptic cloth rendering and assesses which techniques are best suited in order to realize the haptic simulation. | - |
